What Happened to Koho Hockey Equipment?
For years Koho hockey equipment had been the preferred brand to many hockey players and goaltenders alike. If you play hockey you still probably see some players in your amateur leagues wearing Koho ice hockey equipment, but many people do not realize that Koho no longer has their brand name on their ice hockey gear. RBK, or Reebok, bought out the naming rights for Koho, as well as a few other prominent ice hockey equipment brands a few years back.
The fact that Koho is no longer making the same models of their classic ice hockey and goalie gear is quite off-putting to some hockey players and enthusiasts. However, Koho as a company still operates and manufactures hockey player equipment and hockey goalie equipment. So if you are one of the hockey players that wants to remain loyal to this traditional hockey gear manufacturer, you might want to look into purchasing some RBK products.
In the last few years, RBK has taken the hockey world by storm. They have been outfitting some of the biggest superstars in the National Hockey League as well as other professional and semi-professional leagues around the world. These days, youth hockey players and amateur hockey players are seeing stars like Roberto Luongo of the Vancouver Canucks and Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins, sporting the latest and greatest equipment with the RBK style logo on it and it is making these players want to purchase and wear what their idols wear.
Most of the RBK ice hockey equipment being made right now is of a very high quality. This is a testament to the fact that Koho and the other companies that have been bought out by RBK, have fine tuned their process of manufacturing quality ice hockey equipment. These days, my hockey equipment brand of choice would have to be RBK, currently I am wearing the 9k ice hockey skates and I absolutely love them. If you are looking for a hockey gear brand to replace your old Koho ice hockey gear, you should definitely consider buying yourself some RBK equipment.
Don’t hesitate to research for yourself what hockey gear is the most similar to the pads you already know and love. Hockey equipment has changed drastically in the last decade or so, and the game as a whole has evolved at every level. It is important that you know what hockey equipment is going to protect you or your hockey playing child sufficiently.
