The ice hockey goalie mask has come a very long way in recent years. When you really stop to think about it, it is shocking that only twenty to thirty years ago, goaltenders in hockey did not have near the protection for their faces and heads that they do today. Well if you want to make sure that your cage can stand up to the hardest slap shots out there, you probably want to consider purchasing a cage made of titanium. This material is by far the strongest and most difficult to bend out of all of the other materials that hockey goalie cages are made out of. It should however be noted that unless you are playing at a very high level of hockey where players have incredibly hard shots, the titanium goalie cage might not be necessary, but it doesn’t hurt to be on the safe side.
