Mission Hockey Sticks
Mission/ITECH hockey is now officially part of Bauer hockey equipment. Although Mission was becoming more and more popular in the ice hockey equipment world, now it appears as though Mission is strictly a Roller hockey brand, while Bauer is designated as the ice hockey equipment brand. Mission hockey sticks are now Bauer hockey sticks which are used for both ice hockey and roller hockey. The Mission hockey stick was being used by several National Hockey League players, and I am not quite sure if Bauer has made a variety of hockey sticks that are equal to what the Mission hockey sticks were before Bauer took over.
Many hockey players who used Mission hockey sticks had become very accustomed to them and as most of us hockey players know that we can be very finicky when it comes to our ice hockey sticks. Although, I would think that Bauer will accommodate for the hockey players who preferred Mission hockey sticks by making ice hockey sticks that are close to what Mission offered to their customers, but I am not sure if that is going to be the case. Bauer does manufacture some very high quality hockey sticks which are definitely comparable with the best composite hockey sticks available, so I am sure they are not too worried about their hockey stick sales because they have a lot to offer in terms of ice hockey gear.
For the most part ice hockey players will not have any issues with Mission hockey sticks being acquired by Bauer, but a lot of Roller hockey player have become loyal to Mission and they really prefer Mission ice hockey sticks simply because Mission has been known for its roller hockey equipment more so than for their ice hockey equipment. If however, you absolutely can’t use any hockey stick other than Mission, you shouldn’t have a difficult time acquiring them right now because there are still many hockey shops and online hockey stores that still carry them until they run out. So for the immediate future you should be able to find Mission hockey sticks, but sometime down the road you will want to find a replacement for you Mission stick. There are plenty of composite hockey sticks being made by other hockey equipment manufacturers that would make for a good replacement for Mission hockey sticks. You might consider doing some online research to see what type of stick will be the most similar to the Mission hockey stick that you have become so used to.
